Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 28 May 2026
This policy sets out your statutory cancellation rights and how refunds and cancellations work for MDStack plans. All MDStack plans are fixed-term, prepaid, and do not auto-renew.
1. Your 14-day cooling-off right
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, if you are a consumer you have the right to cancel within 14 days, starting the day after the contract is concluded, for any reason.
2. Digital services — immediate activation
Our apps and services are digital and are normally made available to you straight away on request. This affects the cooling-off right as follows:
- If you ask us to begin or activate the service within the 14-day period, you expressly consent to provision starting before the cooling-off period ends, and you acknowledge that: (a) where the service is supplied over a term, you will pay a proportionate amount for the part of the term you have used up to the point you cancel; and (b) once the service has been fully supplied with your prior express consent, you lose the right to cancel and to a refund for that term.
- If you cancel within 14 days and have not begun using the service, you are entitled to a full refund.
3. How to cancel within the cooling-off period
Email hello@mdstack.co.uk with your name and invoice reference. You do not need to give a reason. We will confirm receipt and process any eligible refund within 14 days, using the same payment method you used to pay.
4. Cancelling an ongoing plan
Because every MDStack plan is fixed-term, prepaid, and does not auto-renew:
- There is nothing you need to cancel to stop future charges. Your plan simply ends at the close of the term you paid for, and no further payment is ever taken unless you actively choose to buy a new term.
- You keep full access until the end of the prepaid term.
- There are no exit fees, penalties, or cancellation barriers of any kind.
Note: we do not currently operate auto-renewing subscriptions, so the subscription-specific requirements of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (renewal reminders and easy exit from rolling contracts) do not presently apply. If we introduce auto-renewing plans in future, this policy will be updated to provide those reminders and a clear cancellation route before any such plan is offered.
5. Faulty or misdescribed service
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected by this policy. Digital content and services must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If they are not, you may be entitled to a repair, a replacement, or a refund.
